Ride with purpose, impact the world. Every LAMEDA garment is engineered to perform first and to tread lighter second. We work with recycled nylon, bio-based Sorona and recycled polyester so that lower impact never costs you speed, comfort or durability.

Fabric is only where it starts. The bicycle is already one of the lowest-impact ways to move, and the longer a garment stays in use, the more that advantage compounds. Sustainability at LAMEDA is about the whole ride.
LOW-CARBON MOVEMENT
The bicycle is already one of the lowest-impact ways to travel. Every commute, errand and training ride taken on two wheels instead of four is a direct reduction at the source — no offset required. Choosing to ride is the most immediate sustainable decision any of us make, and it happens before a single garment is involved.
RIDING CULTURE
Habits outlast products. Local clubs, group rides, coaches and the shops that keep bikes on the road are what turn cycling from an occasional activity into a way of living. Supporting that culture keeps more people riding for longer — and that, over time, is the largest contribution any of us can make.
We reduce impact at the fibre stage, where it matters most. Each route below is already in production across our current range.
CATEGORY 01
81% Recycled Nylon + 19% Spandex / 72% Recycled Nylon + 28% Spandex
Recovered from discarded nylon waste such as fishing nets, end-of-life textiles and industrial plastics, then sorted, cleaned, re-pelletised and re-spun into new yarn. It keeps the mechanical strength and resilience of virgin nylon while cutting petroleum demand, water use and energy use in manufacturing.
CATEGORY 02
T400 SORONA — 100% Polyester, 80 gsm
Sorona uses plant-based feedstock such as corn sugar in place of a share of petroleum inputs, and its structure allows later recycling or reuse. The fabric is highly durable, resists stretching and creasing, and offers strong support with a soft hand.
CATEGORY 03
50% Polyester + 50% Recycled Polyester / 60% Recycled Polyester
Produced from post-consumer PET bottle flake and spinning waste through re-chipping, drying, melting, filtration, depolymerisation and re-spinning. This lowers petroleum consumption and reduces the pollution load that conventional polyester production places on soil, groundwater and air.
Carbon reduction calculated per style from verified yarn usage, fabric carbon factors and production volume. Figures below cover the styles we have fully audited to date.

Reduction rates are supplier-verified against conventional equivalents: 63% for Sorona bio-based, 71% for recycled polyester and over 50% for recycled nylon. Yarn weights are stated for size S; larger sizes use proportionally more fabric. The audited total above is a subset of our overall reduction figure and continues to grow as more styles are assessed.

Discarded fishing nets, end-of-life textiles and industrial plastic waste are recovered and sorted by polymer type.
Material is shredded and washed to remove contaminants, leaving a clean feedstock ready for reprocessing.
The cleaned waste is melted and formed into pellets, restoring it to a usable polymer with its strength intact.
Pellets are extruded and spun into recycled yarn, then knitted into the technical fabrics used across our range.
